Dinner: Dinner will feature a delectable local foods meal and brief presentations by the College of Idaho’s Sustainability Stewards and a manager of Bon AppĂ©tit.  Bon AppĂ©tit, the College of Idaho’s food service, is known nationally as a leader in sustainable food service. Bon AppĂ©tit was the first food service company to address the issues related to where our food comes from and how it is grown.   (See http://www.bamco.com/)  Location: Simplot Dining Hall. Dinner will feature an array of locally produced foods, including a suitable autumnal dessert; a vegetarian option is available.
Farm to Table presentation: Following dinner, the community is invited to a look at Idaho’s food culture, past and present, at Jewett Auditorium on The College of Idaho campus. Idaho State University food scholar Susan Swetnam will speak about Idaho’s food culture and how it has changed over the years. And you won’t want to miss “dessert”— a world-premier perspective on how and what we eat by local comedy-acting duo, The Fool Squad (Joe Golden and Tom Wilmorth). Local food never looked so foolish!
